Spotlight Rescue January, 2013

For those of you that are new to RMO one of our main projects is to “spotlight” an animal rescue organization in Ohio every month. This month we are highlighting Measle’s Animal Haven & Pit Bull Rescue which is located in Dublin, OH. We’re all aware of the stigma attached to pitties and groups like Measle’s work hard to rescue these dogs that wouldn’t have a chance to survive otherwise.

In addition to sharing facts about Measle’s and their adoptable dogs this month we will also be sponsoring an adoption event in Columbus at the Zoom Room. Since RMO is not a rescue itself, we partner with rescues and hope to help get some of their animals adopted. When animals are adopted from rescues it frees up space within the organization to save other animals from high kill shelters. That’s our goal!

The event will be on January 26th from 6-8 p.m. at the Zoom Room in Columbus. We will also be having our first birthday party in conjunction with this event. We are so excited about this!! Admission is free, but we do ask that you bring a donation for Measle’s from their wish list:

~ Foster homes
~ Blankets
~ Paper towels
~ Bleach
~ Crates/carriers for 50-80 pound dogs
~ Sterilized bones
~ Printing services to print brochures, posters, etc.
~ Stamps (current postage rate for U.S. Mail or Forever Stamp)
~ Gentle Leaders or Gentle Leader No-Pull Harnesses (for obedience training)
~ Frontline/Revolution/Promeris for dogs ~ Heartguard / Interceptor / Sentinel Ivermectin for dogs

Hope to see you there!
